handbuilding

A gentle invitation for those who want to explore clay without the wheel.

Handbuilding is slower, more intentional, rooted in touch and intuition. It’s an opportunity to shape, carve, coil, pinch, press and let your hands guide you toward forms that feel personal and expressive.

This Friday evening class is designed for curious beginners and returning makers alike. Over three unhurried hours, you’ll learn foundational techniques, create a project of your choice, and enjoy a relaxed, communal studio atmosphere. No prior experience needed. Just a willingness to experiment and let the clay lead the way.

An end-of-week reset.
A creative pause.
A beautiful way to spend a Friday night.

After your session, we will dry and bisque fire your work. Once ready, each piece will be finished with a soft transparent clear glaze that highlights the natural character of the clay. Your finished pieces will then be glaze fired and prepared for pickup.

We can’t wait to welcome you in.

Creativity flows naturally when your hands meet the earth, your mind grows quiet, and you surrender to the rhythm of the clay
