questions, meet clarity

Studio Ceramica was designed to inspire. Nestled in Toronto’s west end, our thoughtfully curated studio combines modern simplicity with the warmth of handmade craftsmanship. Every detail, from the lighting and textures to the tools and layout, has been intentionally designed to encourage focus, promote serenity and foster creativity.
It’s more than a pottery studio: it’s a space designed to unplug, create, and connect.

Our logo embodies the philosophy at the heart of Studio Ceramica: beauty in imperfection. The uneven circle and subtly off-center line are intentional, a visual reflection of the human touch in every piece of handmade work.
It reminds us that imbalance is inherently human, and that the marks, shifts, and irregularities we create are what make each piece, and each person, unique.
Just as in clay, perfection isn’t the goal; it’s the process, the connection, and the quiet authenticity that define what we make and who we are.

Your finished pieces will be ready for pickup approximately 3 weeks after your final session.
This timeframe allows your pottery to dry completely, and undergo a glaze firing. Pottery is a slow process, but the results are definitely worth the wait! -
Provided we receive at least 7 days’ notice, we’ll be happy to work with you to book another date that fits your schedule. Please note that we don’t offer refunds under any circumstances.
-
As we have 12 pottery wheels, we can accommodate a standard group size of 8-12 guests.
All group bookings are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out to us at hello@studioceramica.ca with your event details, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your group.
-
Absolutely! Once glazed and fired, all of our pottery is food-safe, as well as oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe.
-
Occasionally, pieces may crack or break during the firing process or be removed if they pose a risk to the kiln. While we take great care in handling every piece, pottery is a delicate art and some variation is part of the process. We understand this may be disappointing, but appreciate your understanding in this matter, and we’re always happy to help answer any questions about your work.
-
We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes early to get settled. If you’re running behind, don’t worry, you’re still welcome to join, but please note that class time cannot be extended. Our instructors will do their best to help you catch up.

Our studio is located on the second floor, accessible only by stairs. Unfortunately, our building does not currently have an elevator. Due to the nature of wheel throwing, the pottery wheels are not accessible for wheelchair use.
