studio policy
1. Overview & Acceptance of Terms
By attending Studio Ceramica, participating in classes, workshops, private events, or using our website and services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you should not use our Services. Studio Ceramica reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time; continued use of Services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
2. Eligibility
Participants under 18 require parental or guardian consent and may need supervision.Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically fit to engage in pottery activities.
3. Studio Environment & Conduct
To maintain a calm and focused atmosphere, all participants must keep noise levels low.Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior is not tolerated.Participants must follow all instructions from studio staff and adhere to safety guidelines.The use of alcohol or drugs during studio activities is strictly prohibited unless explicitly permitted during specific events.
4. Bookings, Cancellations & Transfers
4.1 Classes & Workshops
All classes are non-refundable.If you cannot attend, please provide at least 7 days’ notice to reschedule. You may transfer your spot to another participant with advance notice.
4.2 Private & Special Events
Private events require a minimum of 8 participants.
For bookings under 8 or over 12 participants, contact us directly. We will try to accommodate your group.
Event cancellations and rescheduling must be communicated in advance. Fees may apply.
5. Materials & Equipment
Only studio-provided clay may be used to protect the kiln and maintain quality. Unlimited clay is provided; unused clay must remain in the studio. Tools and equipment must be used properly and only for their intended purpose. Report any damage or hazards immediately. Personal property brought into the studio is the participant’s responsibility. Studio Ceramica is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
6. Labeling & Organization
All works must be labeled with the Post-It notes provided, including full name and date. Proper labeling ensures organization, safe storage, and easy identification for pickup.
7. About Your Work
Pottery is a combination of art and science, and breakages may occasionally occur during firing.While we handle every piece with care, Studio Ceramica cannot guarantee all pieces will survive firing.Staff are available to answer questions or address concerns about damaged work.
8. Photography & Media Policy
Studio Ceramica may take photos or videos during classes and events for marketing, promotional, or documentation purposes. We respect your privacy and will not use identifiable personal information without permission.Participants wishing to opt out of photography must notify staff in advance.
9. Health, Safety & Assumption of Risk
Participation carries inherent risks, including exposure to dust, chemicals, sharp tools, rotating equipment, hot surfaces, and heavy objects. You voluntarily assume these risks and understand that injuries, accidents, or property damage can occur. Participants must notify staff of any relevant medical conditions or allergies prior to participation.Kilns and restricted equipment must not be operated without staff consent and supervision.
10. Liability, Waiver & Indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by law, participants release Studio Ceramica, its owners, staff, contractors, and volunteers from all claims, damages, or losses arising from participation in studio activities, except where prohibited by law. Participants agree to indemnify Studio Ceramica against claims arising from their actions, negligence, or violation of these Terms. All guests must sign a waiver upon arrival acknowledging understanding of these Terms.
11. Pick-Up of Finished Work
Studio Ceramica will notify participants when fired pieces are ready for pickup.If items are not collected within the posted window, they may be discarded due to space and safety constraints.
12. Intellectual Property
All studio branding, content, and materials are owned by or licensed to Studio Ceramica.By submitting feedback, ideas, or images, you grant Studio Ceramica a non-exclusive license to use them for promotional or operational purposes, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
